Chapter 27. You Broke Me

Jason’s POV

“Listen Neomi, I know you’re mad at me but no one is dying, you have to come home.”

“I don’t care whatever you think. Neomi our baby is Nyla’s child,” I said hoping it would shatter every plan of hers.

“What do you mean?”

“The baby has a birthmark on her belly button, the same spot Nyla has her birthmark.” My words cut through my throat and I couldn’t say anything till the phone hung up and I managed to sit down on the sofa.

I had to say something to protect her, I had to do something. My mind drifted off the first time I saw Nyla’s belly button.

We had just finished the swimming practice, she lay down enjoying the sun kiss, her pullover which she used to cover her swimming trunk slightly revealing her body. My eyes fell on her stomach and I saw a mole on her belly button the same I saw on my baby girl which means it must have been Nyla’s baby.
