Chapter 34. This Is What I Feel

I went over to the hospital, optimistic to find out if I could go through induced lactation. I just want a deep connection with my pup, nothing more. I just want to have that feeling of being a mother. Being a mother is one of the greatest gifts I was denied. I tried every possible means to figure it out, and I prayed to the moon goddess. So many painful miscarriages and so many failed IVFs.

I could remember when Lily had her first child I came to visit her.

“Neomi I don’t think I can do this anymore,” she said with a pale face standing beside her pup crib.
