Chapter 26. Let Them Be

Nyla’s POV

I heard a familiar voice behind me, I turned around to see who it was. It was Jahon. The one my father mistakenly shot his brother leaving him almost half dead. He was limping with one foot which means he lost one of his limbs. I could still remember when my father fired the bullet on his foot.

“This,” he raised his hand to the air showing off my father’s phone. I began to panic.

“I was with your father when he took his last breath,” he said, coming closer to me while I moved backward. I was foolish coming here without letting anyone know.

“I could still hear his cries, I could describe myself as a fearless man.” My chest dropped into my heart when I reached the foot below was water beyond and Jahon was just an inch away from him then I heard Jenny’s voice calling, and running over to me. Jahon’s attention was dropped on her while I quickly moved away.

Jenny froze to her feet when Jahon brought out a gun pointing at her and then back a
