“It was so wrong of me to have gone without you. I should’ve taken you with me.” He was tracing kisses all over me.
“I wouldn’t have survived if anything had happened to you.”
“I’m okay, Kaelan. And nothing will ever happen to me.” I assured him.
Owen brought in Kaelan’s luggage and greeted me. I responded with a nod of my head.
“I’m sorry that we failed you, Luna,” Owen apologized.
“You didn’t fail me, Owen. You guys saved my life. Without your combined efforts, I would be dead by now, with the pup in my womb.”
Kaelan shivered, realizing the gravity of the situation I had been in. He gritted his teeth as he checked me out. His eyes darkened when he saw the red mark on my face.
“They hit you!” His eyes flashed silver, and he struggled to keep his wolf under control.
“Calm down Kaelan,” I said as I put a hand on his chest. His breathing was fast and heavy and I knew the rogues would soon be hearing from him.
