Chapter 58. Be Patient, Warriors

While I lifted the dagger high, I felt like going to war and the war drums of my ancestors could even be felt as it pounded in my veins. But I suppressed the urge to charge blindly into Viktor’s trap.
The armor was in his possession now and the fact that he taunted me with it meant he was prepared.
He already had his plans drawn out and his traps set.
Charging in recklessly would only lead to more casualties. I wouldn’t allow that.
I walked into the Council Chambers and my Lycans followed me. I stood at the podium and gazed at their faces.
They looked determined, but behind their eyes, I saw doubt and exhaustion. Losing warriors was never easy, but tonight, I would remind them of who we were.
