Ramon was quiet for a long moment, staring at nothing, processing everything. “Ollie’s going to be okay?” he finally asked.

“Yes,” I said firmly. “He’s going to be okay. He’s got a long recovery ahead of him—the head injury, the broken ribs, the liver laceration, the psychological trauma. But physically, he’s going to survive this.”

“And Lake?”

“Lake’s going to need a lot of support,” I said honestly. “What Samuel did to him—Rhodes, it was bad. Not just the physical injuries, but the psychological damage. Lake’s going to need therapy, probably medication, definitely time to heal. And now with this blood type revelation—”
