Chapter 39. A Raging Fire
Marcel growled before running towards the chaos. I couldn’t stand here and watch. The fire spread to the trees. One by one the trees surrounding the festival lit up like candles leaving nothing left of the tree to be seen.
“Get everyone out. Now, go, go, go!” Loki ordered.
How do you fight a fire demon? I thought. Noah helped get people to safety but the creature glided over his head trying to set him on fire. He ducked in time but some of his head burned. As the decorations were set ablaze I noticed the barrel of water behind the outdoor toilet.
“Mindy!” I called.
“Paris!” Selma called instead.
She grabbed my arms and panted. Her right arm had been burned.
I felt faint but managed to keep myself standing. “You have to get out of here that thing’s dangerous. It killed Amelia.”
