Chapter 58. Invited Guests

“Kitten,” Marcel called.

I turned from the window in his office at the pack house to look at him. Now that our relationship was public my being here wasn’t weird but best of all I wasn’t his maid anymore. Venus gave me nasty stares when I arrived with Marcel earlier.

She must hate that we fooled her earlier.

“Come sit here,” he said.

“Where? You’re on the only chair here.”

He leaned back and rubbed his thigh. “I mean here.”

“Marcel,” I hissed.

He smirked. “Don’t be shy.”

His trusted betas lingered in the office. Riven agreed to speak to Marcel but my mate was paranoid. He thought Riven only agreed because he wanted to get close enough to attack.

Riven should be here any moment.

“Come on, sweetheart,” he beckoned.

I gave in and walked across the room and settled on top of him. Immediately his hand caressed my thigh and disappeared under my dress. He lingered close to my underwear making me squirm.
