Chapter 29. The Big Snap
“But you are hungry.” he didn’t get to reply because she patted the space next to her on the bed for him to sit on. He did, giving up the argument, and they ate, but she noticed he took much less than he normally would, yet she felt happy he ate too.
“You met so many people on your way to Foth. I didn’t expect so many,” he spoke, gulping the last piece of meat in his mouth.
“One way or the other, those people aided my escape and helped me find my way to you.”
“We should meet them then. Edward’s restraint spell won’t let them pass through the first porch of the ship. He says he has reasons to not trust them and I don’t want to agree with him, but we only just got you back and we can’t lose you again.”
She knew Edward was keeping an eye on them, but she didn’t think he cast a restraint spell on them all.
“Edward is a saint, but I need to disagree with him at this point,” she said, rising and going out of the cabin, and Xavier followed behind.
