Hayes’ POV

We were all back at the pack house. I was pacing the interrogation room in the dungeons. I had received a mind-link from Tate, relaying the message he received from my mate. We had to return home instantly. When we arrived, my mate was not there. Ruby had disappeared, and Shane and the others had been searching for her for hours. Manon was also missing.

Jay was sitting in a chair; Tate and Jang had beaten him up. However, no matter what we asked, he stuck to the same story that he lost his phone five days ago. He was busy with the championship games that he couldn’t be bothered to replace it. He used his other phone to communicate.

“Then why the fuck is she, and why did she say she was going to see you?” Zylon growled.

“I don’t know. Instead of keeping me here, you should let me go out to look for them,” Jay said, exhausted. “Ruby is my very good friend, and Manon is … she’s my mate. I swear, I would never harm them at all.”
