Tate’s POV
I gulped the amber liquid in my glass, ignoring the burn in my throat. It has been a fucked up week, and Cindy has gone into a state of depression since I refused to speak to her after what happened to my sister. She knew what those girls planned for Ruby, but she never spoke up. She was always selfish and disliked Ruby, something I had previously overlooked. Now that I think back, there were signs. For instance, she would snort or jokingly say mean things to Ruby. Ruby used to confide in me, but eventually she stopped because I had begun to doubt her.
