Chapter 48. Freedom

It was as I had hoped. They were the fake duplicates. My mate had gotten the original ones and switched them with these.

I felt a wave of joy hit me and I almost squealed happily.

Freedom was awaiting at last. I dropped the documents and started to head out. That was when I realized that…….I didn’t have it in me to just leave without at least trying to help my partner in crime.
