Chapter 74. John's Cruelty

I was transferred to the other section of the mansion that dealt with laundry and that was where I was to serve from then on. Because the laundry section was so far from the main building, it prevented me from meeting James again.

He too was scared of what they might do to me because of him so he stayed away. I was so sad and I cried bitterly often because it felt like the love of my life had been taken away from me.

Suddenly John started to visit me at the laundry section and bring me food. It seemed weird since he was the reason why I was here in the first place and I refused his food and treats. He said he was sorry that this had happened to me but he was hurt because I had chosen James over him. He said he always had his eyes on me and he was jealous because I hung out more with James instead of him.

He said he would convince his parents to transfer me back to the kitchens if I agreed to be his girlfriend and take him to the porch instead of James.
