Bella POV

Why can’t I remember anything about this place? Why can’t I move my legs? Why does that man’s voice still echo in my head, even when I know he’s lying? And the worst part of it all—no one is telling me anything.

It feels like I’ve been left in the dark, deliberately. As if I’m being punished. I refuse to believe anything that comes out of his mouth. My father could never sell me off like some piece of property, and that weakling could never be the Alpha of Waterford Pack. Those are all lies. They have to be.
