The next few days passed with me staying mostly in my room, and not once did Alpha Abel come by. Not that I expected him or anything—but I hadn’t even caught a glimpse of him. Not a shadow, not his brake lights, nothing.

Today, former Alpha Klaus was scheduled to publicly denounce his title and announce that it had been passed to the new alpha. I sat glued to the television, watching as he addressed the pack.
