Emily's POV

Lying there in the hospital bed, my mind was still racing frantically. I was just on the verge of calling Berton to tell him about my pregnancy, but I had developed cold feet at the last minute and decided to think about it again to make sure that I was doing the right thing, and I was not just being impulsive. I still remember the doctor's advice not to make decisions when my feelings were like this. I still needed time to process this and what it would mean for me and my baby. Until that was done, and my head was clear enough to decide, I was going to keep it to myself until then. But despite these logical thoughts, I still felt the urge to pick up the phone and call him immediately.
