“Don’t be like that; I don’t want to see you sad. Everything will work out; it wasn’t your fault. The heat is coming soon, and that clouded your mind, but you’ll see that everything will work out.” Vanessa comforted me, but still, I knew the reality.

“I have to talk to her,” I mumbled, looking toward the door to our room.
