Emma would have expected some police to come and ask her about what happened in her apartment at some point, but a whole week would have passed, and all she would have seen was the hotel cleaning staff and some envoy leaving her food on a trolley outside the door, no one would ask her anything or even speak to her about it or anything and that was fine with her, the last thing she wanted was to reveal why she has been running away for a year, there was nothing to be gained by that.
