Chapter 30. It's Time to Start
“I can handle myself,” I told him and I broke free of his grip I looked at the black wolf with my head held high and looking him straight in the eyes with a new feeling growing in me. Resentment, and a deep hatred.
“I trusted you,” I murmured, reflecting with a broken heart on everything that had happened between us up to this moment, the good and bad moments we lived together, even if it was only for a short time.
I had trusted, I was so sure of how Adam felt about me... I never imagined he would do something like this to me. I had never in my life felt so humiliated, so broken.
“You’ll be sorry, Adam,” I said one last time and walked to the car proudly taking this not as a defeat but as the beginning of a new me.
I would make sure this was the last time Adam looked at my face; he would pay in life for what he was doing to me right now.
