Chapter 36. Coming Out of the Shadows

Megan's POV

“Understandably, they are worried about not knowing if we pose any danger to the neighboring herds,” said David attentive to my movements as if he was waiting for me to start climbing the walls from one moment to the next like in the exorcist.

“Maybe they think we will attack them when the rutting season comes, and they are vulnerable,” commented Eve, sharing glances with David.

I looked at the ceiling in frustration before looking up at them and sighing.

“Well, we can’t do anything about the damn letter; if I don’t go, they will think we are dangerous and might take action against us, and if I go...He might be there,” I said with my nerves on edge.

“What will you do, Megan?” they both asked me.
