Adam's POV

I am behind my desk, as usual, watching as I live my life in the packed documents. Lately, I have lived more in my office than anywhere else in the house. It’s after midnight, and I watch the Moon through the windows, remembering that at this time a year ago, on a night much like this one, I lay in my bed with my Moon in my arms and watched her sleep, looking so peaceful and angelic. I smile, knowing that she is anything but angelic; I remember her face and her sharp tongue that gave her no other use than to hurl insults at me, ignoring that each of her words only made the rage and desire to possess her consume me completely to the point of having made me decide to take her away from me, thinking that I could hurt her unintentionally. It didn’t take me long to realize that it was a big mistake.
