Sara's POV

“It’s supposed to,” I growl, getting much more confused. I don’t understand his reaction; why is he getting so angry? “For me, touching your lips is happiness in its purest form; even if they were only two kisses for me, they have been glory. Maybe it could have been many more because you provoke me with whatever you do.”

“You said before that you wanted to be my friend. Friends don’t kiss or lust.” I reminded him.

“Friend?” he laughs bitterly, making me feel so stupid for saying that. “Of course, friends don’t kiss Sara. Friends esteem and protect each other, maybe even want like family feeling, but they don’t love each other, Sara. I said that just to be by your side. Can’t you see that, you idiot?”

I swallowed saliva, not knowing what to say.
