Alpha Thor’s POV

I went to my suite and had a bath and a change of clothes. Once I had done that, I went to my office.

I was exhausted. Walking on foot into the woods and tracking Dana was not a small thing. It was hard, but I was glad we were done with it.

I leaned back in my chair and closed my eyes. I thought about everything that had happened so far.

I felt in my heart that something was wrong. Some things weren’t adding up. When I tried to ask Dana for details about her kidnap, she waved it off immediately. She didn’t give me a chance to talk to her about it. According to her, it was a thing of the past now, and the most important thing was that she was back home safe and sound.

But there was more to it and it bugged me that Dana refused to talk about it.

At that moment, I remembered Charlotte. I had promised to do everything to ensure she was proven innocent and given back her dignity.

I got up at once, feeling a renewed energy inside
