Charlotte’s POV

We had arrived. My pack.

It hadn’t changed much since I had last been here. Alpha Boris was doing a good job safeguarding and developing the pack. It still felt like home somehow, although I had hoped I wouldn’t ever have to return here again. We got down from the car and headed for the pack royal house. The guard dragged me in front, and Aunt Eloise and Corie followed us from the back. I was exhausted and extremely sleepy, and yet I continued following them.

We got into the Royal pack House and then to the meeting hall. The stricture was so different from the one at the Blue Moon pack. It wasn’t even half as glamorous.

I was surprised to see a few pack leaders already seated and waiting for us. I couldn’t recognize even a single one. I had never met them before. I had never had a cause to.

I never imagined there would come a time in my life when I’d have to face them like this.
