Chapter 20

Layla's POV

I tried talking to Nate, but he didn’t listen to me. He just walked away, leaving me in a bewildered state. I couldn’t believe what just happened. Does Nate not remember me at all?

What was happening to him? I quickly ran after him, to talk to him, but he took long strides, and before I could get to him, he had walked into the gate. I sighed.

“What’s wrong with him?” I asked the Beta, but instead he snubbed me and walked away too.

I exhaled as I turned around and boarded one of the cars that was at my disposal to take me wherever I wanted to go.

The drive from Nate's estate to mine was just a thirty-minute drive, and thirty minutes later, I was standing outside my estate.

“Good morning, Layla,” Irene, one of the maids greeted. I was happy that Irene had finally decided to listen and she has stopped calling me Luna. I wasn’t a full one yet especially if my mate still treated me like this.
