Chapter 12
A groan preceded several knocks sounding on Amareux's door. He tossed in his bed and covered his ears with the pillow. But, it was futile because even with the pillow around his ears to muffle the knocking sound, he could hear it as clear as day.
Finally, Amareux gave up. He threw back his covers and sat up. Planting both of his palms on the bed beside him, he glared at the door, wishing whoever was behind his door and knocking would drop dead.
Amareux stood up and stretched, making sure to take his time while doing that.
"Who's knocking?"
"Oh, don't act like you don't know who is." Dallas replied.
"Oh, Dallas. Why are you disturbing my sleep? It's just eight in the morning."
"By eight, you should be training. I don't know why you're such a pain in my butt. I know what to do."
