She had thick, heavy, and dark hair. Her skin tone was tanned—three wonderful shades darker than mine. Big eyes, a fleshy mouth, and a slightly wider nose. She was beautiful, the way a goddess of the moon would be. And smiling, she became even more splendid.
“The alpha is ensuring that some of us keep vigil during your sleep. In fact, throughout your stay in our pack. We can’t leave you alone.”
I gave a weak smile. I had already passed that line that made me seem boring and tiring to these people, but I did not know exactly what they expected from me or how they thought I should act.
