I avoided making a face. Since I hadn’t seen Kelly or her friends for the rest of the day, I hadn’t had any guidance on how I should speak to the elder. Marcus disappeared, and I didn’t want to ask him about any pack members I didn’t know—apart from Kelly and her friends, I didn’t know anyone else—to avoid any issues with the alpha.
