Chapter 11
Josephine’s POV
I have to admit bumping into my sister in the hallway was a bittersweet moment for me. I didn’t expect to see her until another couple of hours. Rayne looked so perfect, as always. Her ebony black hair with streaks of blue was well-combed and cascaded down her neck like a mane.
And her smoky eyes told me that she’d somehow gotten better with her makeup. She looked beautiful and exquisite, everything I wasn’t. Compared to her, I was a five out of ten. Maybe a four. I couldn’t concentrate on thinking, not when I was standing right before my super-hot sister, who apparently was still in the business of intimidating me with her beauty.
I was more surprised by her hug than I would have been if I had won a Grammy award out of nowhere. Why the hell had Rayne hugged me so close to herself? We weren’t exactly besties. Or was it just an act?
