Rayne’s POV

“The shots aren’t clear enough,” Miss Lisa Spencer fumed, bringing my mind back to the moment. It had drifted again like it had been doing for the past few hours.

It was going to be the first time since like forever that I, Rayne Parker, would be failing a class assignment because of some boy I was brooding over.

Yes, you read well. Some boy had just done me dirty and left me with a broken heart. And you know what else was broken? My soul. I loved this boy with everything in me.

His name was Alex Miller, and he was and still is the person I love most in the world. Alex and I met in a fitness club I joined in school. We liked each other at first sight and became friends naturally. Then, the relationship bloomed.

Alex was tall, about 6’4, energetic, and handsome, the kind of guy I fall easily for. He was witty and charming, always seeming to know the right words to say. That was how he stole my heart.
