Odette’s POV

“Good evening mum” I hug her lightly and her cologne filters into my nose, she smells so nice and I kind of miss her, those days when we would just sit and talk together.

“You look dashing, sweetheart” mum says excitedly, her eyes traveling around my body.

“Well” I shrug, walking over to dad, “I live to impress” with a smile, I lean into my dad’s embrace.

“Good evening dad”

“Well, you completely forgot about us after your honeymoon” he has a pout on his lips and I can’t help but laugh out loud. Shouldn’t mum be the one sulking? But dad never seems to disappoint me.

“Well, I have a good looking husband, I need to take in all his sight, dad. But not to worry, I will make sure to come and see you often”

“Of course baby” he pats my back lightly as his eyes soften, he loves me and I know that for sure.
