Odette’s POV

Swimming more laps, I finally pull my wet body out of the water as my face breaks into a smile. Malachi is seated at the foot of the pool, his eyes on me with a glass of red wine in hand. Ever since I got pregnant, he has refused to taste any kind of alcohol, he said he didn’t want his child to think his father is an alcoholic.

“Aren’t you tired?” He asks me, his voice a mixture of warmth and love.

“How about you swim with me?” I inquire with a pout, “the water is nice babe, the moon is beautiful. What more do you want? The night is perfect”
