Malachi’s POV

Walking into the room, I see my wife seated beside her sleeping father, her head on the bed beside him and seeing that she didn’t raise her head when I walk in, I know for a fact that she is sleeping. Walking gently towards her, I squat beside her before tapping her gently.

“Baby”

Odette stirs in her sleep and opens her eyes, a light yawn leaves her mouth.

“Baby, you are back?”

“Hmm” I nod, “I am back. Come, I will take you home so you can take some rest, okay?”

“I don’t want to leave dad alone” she sounds adamant.

“You are not leaving him okay? Kayden and Ayana are both outside. They will look after him till your mum gets back. You are pregnant, remember? You don’t need all of these stress right now”

She lets out a sigh, I hate seeing her in this kind of situation. How I wish I was in her stead.

“Okay? You need all the rest you can get now. I don’t want you getting sick in your condition, my love” I cup her
