Book 2: Chapter 107
Odette’s POV
A loud scream leaves my mouth as I see Zachary crash to the ground, his pool of blood making a halo around his head. Just a few minutes ago, we had the most insane conversation and now he is lying in the pool of his own blood. Without thinking much, I rush towards him not caring about the truck driver who had already driven away.
“Zach!” I call out his name as a feeling of Déjà vu hits me. Mum told me how dad died while he was trying to protect me and here I am, Zach on my thighs with blood splattered everywhere. Was the past trying to repeat itself? She lost her father and now him?
“You better don’t die?” I seethe in anger, “call the ambulance” I yell to my driver.
“Ode…tte…” Zachary’s voice comes out in a whisper as he coughs out blood which splashes on my cloth.
“Don’t say a word and save your strength” I cut him off before searching my bag frantically and bringing out my phone. My fingers keep trembling as I dial Malachi’s number
