Chapter 45. Helping Karma

Instead of helping, Tanya, Jacob’s mother, scolded Gwen’s father. She even said, “My son has ended his relationship with your daughter. Please don’t disturb me again!” Then she ended the call. 

Gwen’s father was too shocked to say anything. He put the phone on the table. 

His wife stared at him and impatiently asked, “What did Jacob’s parents say?”

“It’s his mother who picked up my call. She said Jacob has already ended their relationship with Gwen.”

“What?! But they will get married in a few months. How can he end the relationship so easily?”

Gwen’s father said nothing. Since his wife kept complaining, finally he snapped. “Stop it! It’s your fault! You didn’t teach Gwen well. Now she is humiliating our family. She can’t even keep her fiance!” 

“Don’t talk to me like that! You, as her father, what did you do to teach her too? Huh? Why did you only blame me?” 

Gwen’s father rushed to leave his wife, but Gwen’s mother held his arm
