Regina thought about the life they had built together, their crazy marriage and the unconventionality of it all, their conversations, the laughter, and the intimate moments shared. The thought of losing those precious connections was almost unbearable.
“Are you saying that he might not remember certain people and details about his life, including me as well as my daughter, his wife?” Sylvia asked.
“But he’ll get better, right?” Regina cut in before Dr. Morris could reply, her voice choked with emotion, her hands tightly clasped together. “There must be something we can do.
