Chapter 42
Elysia's POV
I pulled away from Hector, feeling confused and overwhelmed.
He was making me uncomfortable and for some reason, I felt like punching his face.
I could feel my blood boiling and an unquenchable amount of fury rushing through my spine.
"I can't do this," I said, my voice shaking. "I don't know who you are or what you want from me, but I can't just throw everything away without knowing the truth."
Hector looked at me, his eyes full of sadness. Merely staring, I could see a glint of affection in his eyes for me, but it only made me more uncomfortable.
He then said, "I'm sorry," he said, his voice low. "I didn't mean to push you. I just want to help you remember who you were before the accident. I want to help you understand your past and your present, so you can move forward with your future."
I looked at him, unsure of what to do. Part of me wanted to believe him, but another part of me was afraid of what I might find
