Chapter 41. Found Mary

As she was walking out by the end of the hall, she saw Matthew talking to Amanda. She chose to turn into another hallway and went down to the first floor through the elevator. Now and then, she winced at the pain in her arm. The painkiller's effect from the doctor had faded away.

She waved at a taxi and got into it hastily.

"Paul Bakery," she said breathlessly.

The taxi driver quickly drove his car at a moderate speed through the busy LA streets.

"Are you running away from the hospital?" asked the taxi driver, looking into the rearview mirror, from which he could see her patient bracelet.

Sarah was surprised. She hurriedly pulled down the sleeves of her jacket to cover the bracelet. "Nope," she replied flatly.
