Grandma Nana was stunned to see Audrey back in the room where Carter was taking a nap. Audrey was barely holding on to whatever was left inside of her. “ Audrey, I thought you left, why are you back here, or did you forget something ”.

Grandma, who was half asleep on the couch, asked while rubbing her bleary eyes. 

“ No. I did not forget anything, I just couldn't go home knowing he was in such a critical condition, ” Audrey sniffed, trying to hide the river of tears that filled her eyes. “ That is so sweet of you, I know this might have been difficult for you, but thank you so much ”.

Audrey nodded in response, not saying a word because she knew that even if she tried, all she was going to get was a blurry eye. “ I will be in my room now, if there is anything, you inform me ”. Grandma spoke again and she nodded her head. “ You look sick, don't you think you should see a doctor? ”.
