Chapter 13
Chantal’s POV
The speed of events shocked me, and I tended to aid him, but I saw a man next to me. It was Mateo.
“What are you doing here?” he said to me with a much colder tone. He didn’t let me answer anymore and pulled me out of the bar. I didn’t struggle and let him take me where he would take me. When I noticed in his car, I withdrew my hand.
“Mateo, stop, you’re hurting me!” I said, pulling my wrist away from him.
“What are you doing here? Didn’t I tell you? You can drink, but at home. If you’re outside, tell me,” he said, and I felt his anger, but I didn’t answer him. I just kept quiet and waited for him to calm down.
“What are you upset about? We agreed that we’d respect our personal space,” I told him calmly, but my voice was shaking.
“Yes, we agreed on that, but we didn’t agree that you should talk to some man, and you’re closing your eyes when he was approaching you.”
