Chapter 14
Chantal’s POV
I woke up without Mateo next to me. I got up from lying down, sat down, and to my surprise, he was nowhere to be found. I remembered what happened last night. I wasn’t happy with the result, but I just let myself not leave the room and went straight to the shower room. It didn’t last long, and I chose to go first with Mateo’s company. I was enjoying the loud music when the door suddenly opened, making me grab the bathroom curtain to shield my body.
“What were you thinking?” I told him.
“I’ve been calling you; you haven’t responded previously, so I’m concerned,” he said, looking at me.
“You’ve got the answer to your question. You can leave,” I said rudely to him.
Mateo closed the door. I don’t know, we didn’t have a problem, but I wanted to know why he chose marriage or if we ruined their relationship. I wanted to know why he chose it.
