Chapter 173. The Shed

“You won’t get away with this!” Elaine yelled at her kidnapper as he poured another gallon of fuel around the shed. The strong smell of black oil nauseated her so much that she forced her words out between bouts of dry heaving. “So, that’s your plan to drench this place in fuel, and then what?”

He checked his wristwatch. “Your fiancée has forty seven minutes left on the clock.”

“On the clock for what?” Elaine struggled against the hold of the rope.

Bennett had bound her to a chair in her shed house and the knots he used were quick and tight. The only fighting chance she had was when he took her out of the car and tried to get the rope. She had kicked his head and he was still spotting from there.

She looked behind her as he walked around the chair emptying the last of the fuel around her. “You’re supposed to be a good guy.”

“The good guy is a myth. What does that get you?” He bent down and tightened the rope around her hands at the back of the chair.
