Chapter 18. Wide Smile
In no time, Juliet walks into the ward Lucien had been pushed into. She sits before him, staring at his unconscious self.
She can’t explain how she feels after seeing him in this condition. Tears slowly start dropping from her eyes, her heart bleeding.
No words leave her mouth as she sits there, just looking at Lucien. He has an oxygen mask and his once handsome face is now covered in so many cuts and bruises.
She takes his hand and starts to caress it.
"Wake up please," are the stupid words that have to come out of her mouth first.
She sits in silence after that, not knowing what else to say. Her brain seems to have abandoned her.
"I’m sorry for all I said and did, please wake up, Lucien," however, after a while, she says softly. "I never meant any of it. I don’t want you to leave me again," she whispers the last part. "Do you have any idea what I had to go through after you left? I lost all my purpose of living
