Chapter 149
The guard nodded as they were admitted into the throne room, and the remainder of his children were led to the chambers on the side that were guarded. As they made their way into the throne room, the village chief stood by and watched. On his side, there were scared ladies, childrens and elderly. The majority of those killed in the massacre were children and now they were afraid and refused to raise their heads to look at him. Instead, they clung to one another in what Galileo assumed were familial groups, which he found amusing.
Although there were men in this group as well, Galileo noticed that on the Chie'fs right side, there were no children there. He wasn't sure if it had been done on purpose or if there just weren't any available, but it was probably for the best.
