Chapter 29

Aria never believed that someone like Paul would one day turn into a monster. There have been occasions where he hit her, but he always apologized afterward. After she healed from the pains he inflicted on her, she planned to leave Indianapolis. Her mother’s Alzheimer’s disease had become critical then, so she decided to move her to Manhattan, where she would find a personal nurse for her and perhaps offer her better care. There was nothing holding her back after her music career and her relationship crumbled. The only people she missed while leaving were her friends. Paul was unaware that she had left, and so months later, when he snapped back to his senses, he started looking for her but was greeted with the news of her departure. He was not able to get details about where she moved to until recently when he ran into one of her friends who told him that she went to Manhattan, and after getting a few more obscure details from her, he set out to find her.
