Chapter 29. Night Rain

Kate's POV

“I fell in love with you just the first day I met you, Matt,” I confessed, “But I never dreamt of you having the same feelings,” I sobbed against his back.

“Yeah, I felt the same. I was shocked to see a beautiful girl like you working for me as my maid. I had to control my feelings and also confirm if you were the right person,” he said, turning his head so I could kiss his cheek.

I wanted more of the kiss, but the rain was getting worse. I wanted to be kissed all night long, but Matt seemed more concerned about my wheelchair and how we would get back up there.

He carried me on his back like a baby girl. When we reached the children’s playground, which was always empty and unlocked, he set me down on a chair while he lay down to rest and enjoy the rain.

“Matt, I love you so much,” I said, falling on top of him and kissing him passionately.

His lips tasted like sweets, so I sucked the saliva from his mouth. Maybe the rain had entered his
