Chapter 37. This Will Be Perfect
Kate's POV
At Kate’s home.
My mother was not hungry, so it did not matter how much time I spent outside. And besides, she had stopped being lazy; she could now prepare something for herself and do a bit of clean-ups.
In the morning, I went to the grocery store to get some vegetables. I stopped by Cassandra’s room, instead of getting into mine.
“Cassandra,” I called, dropping the paper bag in an empty basket in her room, “I missed...”
“Don’t even let it out!” she yelled. “What shows you miss me?” she added and continued her popcorn as she sat on her sofa watching TV.
She was right about that. Ever since she left for school, I had not called to check up. No, this was the only semester and it wasn’t even over. She had just come home for a week's holiday.
