Chapter 33. Angela
Kate's POV
They sped and tried to fly with their car when they saw that we were accelerating. I thought our car was fast, but theirs was faster. They drifted and landed in front of us, blocking the road with their being made a barrier.
“It is over,” I cried and tried to open the door to surrender to them, thinking we had no other choice than to give myself to them. “It’s me they want, let me go.”
“It is not over. I don’t surrender to anyone except my master,” he boasted to encourage me, locking the door and powering the engine.
They stood in front of our car, pointing the same gun at us. But Matt’s bodyguard was playing a win-or-lose game with my life. I had only one chance to live and didn’t want to gamble with death on it.
“Do you think this will work?” I asked, trembling and confused.
“Sure!” he assured me and reversed the car.
They ran back into their car after failing their shots, which did not touch anyone, as Antonio drove zigzagging
