The Training

“You better start waking up early, or, God so help me, a little while,” the she-wolf who came to my pack yesterday said in an alerting voice. It immediately stirred me up from my light sleep.

“Umm...Sorry? Do you need anything?” I asked her as I rubbed my eyes after letting out a small yawn.

“No, you sleepy head, I am here to wake you up!” she boomed, “We are starting our training sessions, and you are late for your first one,” she informed with a sardonic smile. Something gives me a vibe that this woman is filled with sass because her snide remarks are not extremely cruel; they have a little bit of consideration in them.

“What? But it’s four in the morning!” I exclaimed at her like a petulant child.

“Yeah, we start early so that you can train as well manage your job efficiently,” she answered me simply.

“My job?” I said in my sleepy haze. This is way too early for all of this after the crazy moments I have been through.
