Unexpected Job

After deciding to keep me in the pack, Alpha Daniel called Adrian out of the tent.

We both were already standing outside as Adrian and Ryan appeared through the tent. Ryan sat on the ground sulkily, and Adrian was looking around with inspective eyes. Even though his face was like ice, he had a small twitch in his eyebrows which made me aware of his puzzlement.

The Alpha’s voice snapped me out of my trance.

“Adrian, is their name listed?” Alpha asked Adrian.

“Yes, Alpha, it has been listed down,” he answered in a dutiful voice.

“Okay, then, complete the rest of the process as well,” Alpha ordered, and I wondered how the procedure was done in the Dark Moon Pack.

“Yes, Alpha Daniel,” he said in a devoted voice and fetched an ancient-looking stamp and burned it for a few minutes with a mystical lighter as I watched the scene unfold in front of me in fascination.
